Leadership is not magnetic personality – that can just as well be glib tongue.  It is not making friends and influencing people – that is flattery.  Leadership is lifting a person’s vision to higher sights, the raising of a person’ performance to a higher standard, the building of a personality beyond its normal limitations. ~Peter DruckerMagnetic Leadership graphic

When asked what Magnetic Leadership is…I define what it is not.
Unenthusiastic leaders who:

  1. Talk without listening
  2. Do not play well with others
  3. Are disengaged from their employees/teams/colleagues
  4. Promise but do not deliver
  5. Undertake it all themselves
  6. Fail to look ahead, act creatively or be innovative
  7. Do not appreciate people or value their work
  8. This list ends here because I prefer to define what Magnetic Leadership is!

My list of what makes leaders magnetic:

  1. Engage with people
  2. Empower employees
  3. Enrich the work experiences
  4. Manage change – collaboratively
  5. Communicate, communicate, communicate
  6. Plan – strategically and tactically
  7. Have fun
  8. Share
